Just reinstalled EBR ecu, do you have to do the 10 min acclaimation period?

Are you running O2 probes? If yes, then yes. Input from probes will cause fueling to be adjusted. If no, then no. No input - base fueling map is default.

At least that's how I remember it.

Nope.

Because it is not needed. The bike is constantly adjusting its idle regardless.

Your post is entirely incorrect, the idle has nothing to do with the O2 sensor.

The 10 minute idle thing is in regard to allowing the ECM to calibrate itself to your bikes Idle Air Control system. The bike will automatically adjust how open the valve needs to be to maintain idle, and sometimes due to carbon buildup and other things some bikes need the valve open more than others. The 10 minutes of idle gives the ECM a chance to see what it needs to keep your bike running. If you are swapping your stock and race ECM, you don't need to do the idle thing as odds are nothing has changed, and even if there was a substantial change the bike will figure it out on its own.

The IAC is gunked up on my 09, but my 08 is pretty clean, I've swapped my ECMs for shits and giggles, the 08 started with a high idle, and my 09 would barley run, and after a few minutes they evened out.

Also before it comes up, regarding a TPS reset, it isn't necessary for all the above reasons, but given that it takes 5 seconds to do it couldn't hurt.

I didn't see anything in OP about idle.

Is he perhaps referring to the ECU/IC marrying process?

The OP said "re-installed".

It sounds like he had it on before. But not knowing why he had to re-install and what was in there before, it's hard to tell.

Had to take it to the dealer for stator replacement. The dealer wouldn't work on it with aftermarket ecu. Yes it was still under warranty and no they wouldn't put in an '08 charging system. I argued with them till I was blue in the face.
