Danny, you asked for it, so here it is: I wasn't trying to be an "arrogant ..." when I wrote the first post. In re-reading it, I can see how it might have come across that way but that's not how it was intended. Because no slights were intended, no further apologies were made.
I helped the OP by giving him information that was correct, by confirming that his dealership had correctly diagnosed the problem and by refuting some of the factual errors (aka bullshit answers) about parts availability that were posted in this thread. Apparently you didn't like the manner of delivery, so you're throwing in your two cents to critique my writing style.
Hailwood got the right answer, which is what he came here for. Apparently I did not sugar-coat it enough to suit your arbitrary standards. But then I'm not like that. I state facts and let the chips fall where they may. I am not anyone's mother, so don't expect me to act like one. People who venture out onto the big bad internet looking for answers on how to fix their bike shouldn't expect to be coddled, they should only expect to get the right answer. That's exactly what Hailwood got -- the right answer and no hand-holding.

In general, if anyone believes something somebody else said was incorrect, please just state what you believe to be correct.
Don't tell other people what you think they meant, and then keep arguing back and forth about it. |
