Ok, so I have almost everything back together from doing the Valve check/Cam replacement and I have no power. There are 2 wires that I can't figure out what they are for and I am guessing that these are my culprits. I am guessing by the color of the wires that one is a power wire for something and one is a ground.

If anyone has any ideas of what they are for I would be forever indebted.

Ugh...they don't reach that far. The long one will possibly make it to the ground if I stretch it. But the short one is not making it very far.

I grounded the black wire and extended the orange one to the battery with a longer wire and the bike powers up...now I just need to figure out where I really need to connect it.

If Your orange cable is in reality red/yellow it goes to the starter solenoid (onto the pin that is connected to Battery +, not to the one that leads to the starter)

Hey Alex, yeah its a red/yellow, I actually did connect it to the battery terminal on the solenoid. Thanks for the info now I know that I did make the right guess in where to connect it.

Putting the subframe back on was a PITA, but now that I know exactly how everything routes it should be a lot easier next time.
