All,
Was looking for a little mentoring / guidance as I haven't been able to find a definitive answer in either the 1125 manual or the search function:

Problem: 2008 1125R brake light.

Symptom: front brake triggers the brake light fine. Rear brake only triggers the light if I put a LOT of pressure on the rear brake (a LOT being defined as I think it would likely lock up the rear tire if I was rolling).

Troubleshooting: don't think it is a wiring problem, as it will consistently light up the brake, but only if I put a lot of pressure on the rear brake (while stationary; obviously can't check it myself while moving). I did check the connection at the rear switch and it looks clean, and I cleaned it with contact cleaner anyway to be thorough with no change.

Question: is this an indicator that the switch itself may be going bad? Or is there some adjustment that I couldn't find in the manual? I looked through chapter 7 (electrical) and didn't see anything.

Any pointers you can provide are appreciated.

There is no adjustment on the switch, you could try bleeding the system or replacing the switch. H0203.1AM $25

Thanks all, that's what I was thinking, but wanted to check the collective wisdom before ordering.

Funny, I was about to post the same thing. I really have to stand on the switch to make it work.

Is it a brake-pressure switch or a mechanical switch?

I suppose I'll just replace it either way.
