Mine is not under warrantee. In my case the person that works on my bike put it best in regards to running diagnostics I would spend a lot just to have a dealer diagnose it, to possibly get the answer "I'm sorry Mr. ____, but it'll need to be replaced" (at $85 per hr) plus the cost of a new gauge set..." Mine had dust getting in and I had it warrantied for that. But the needle position fixed itself.
