I'm not much for doing my own modifications, but if there's an instruction manual I can follow it. But when I bought the handguards there wasn't one... How the heck do I remove the bar end caps and install the handguards?

Bar end caps just pull out, use pliers if you don't want to keep them, carefully pry out if you do.

right side comes out easy. left side end cap might be glued in and harder to get out.

The install is pretty much self explanatory, pull out the stock bar ends with pliers, then install the hand guards. If I remember right, I used the medium sized spacer thing on the clutch side because with the short one the clutch lever doesn't have enough clearance.

So just stick the assembled guards into the bar and tighten the bolt? What keeps them from coming back out?

As you tighten it, it expands and grips inside the handle bar. I've tested mine up to 145mph, they aren't going anywhere.

Nice, is it hard to take them out later on down the line? Or does loosening them not have the same effect?

It's a bit tougher to get them out but some wiggle and jiggle will get the fastener to loosen up.

Not sure about the sets that others here have got but with the set of dual roads I had the handle bar had to be drilled out to fit the hand guard in...

I tried installing them yesterday but they'd didnt go in all the way. The clutch side barely went in halfway and the other went in about 90% of the way. I'm fairly sure I found the right model # since the only place that mentioned it was the italian international website. Do I need a different mounting kit?

Finally got them in after grinding out all of the dried glue.
