I have Baldwin seats on both bikes and am very satisfied with them. both have the gel inserts.

that being said I have not tried the saddleman for comparison.

Saddlemen is outstanding. Completely changed my feeling for riding the bike. So much more enjoyable now.

Hm... While people are discussing them...

The stock seat isn't terribly comfortable for longer touring.

What's a good "I'm going to be doing a few 500 mile days in a row" seat option? : )

Semi-related. . .

Bought a Corbin for the CR, about a week before Al and JoAnne premiered their new seat at American Sport Bike. . . which has the gel seat option that definitely looks long-tourer friendly.

My Corbin works well for me - - but wouldn't recommend it as a replacement for OEM if the goal is long distance riding - - but have done 500 miles days on each OEM and Corbin, the Corbin is better...

Just might be worth checking American Sport Bike for your needs. . .

Fair, though you didn't state your goals - for all we know, you were asking about how they were for trackday seats. : )

I have had my Saddlemen for a month or two now and center gap keeps me happy. There is a familiar bump on I-5, first time with the new seat, it absorbed the bump! My lower anatomy seems happier with that channel. The Saddlemen seat pan is extremely well made, the carbon seat and tail cover quality is excellent.

Just some pics of the Saddleman. Pretty sure you can't go wrong with either brand seat. I am a huge fan of the center channel as well.

The Baldwin uses your factory seat pan so no worries about fit up. I put in a few 600 mile days last summer with no troubles. The saddleman looks good as well, I don't think you can go wrong either way.
