A few sneaky pics of my plastics so far.

Let me know your thoughts please, + or -

Not really a fan of the gold marble, but I'm sure it looks amazing in person. Whoever did the paint did a fantastic job. Can't wait to see it on the bike!!

Interesting. Not a color I'd normally think of, but it may look better than expected on the bike. I'll have to withhold judgment until I see the plastics installed.

How much did the paint job cost, if you don't mind me asking?

Looks good, nice work by the painter. Were you going for the "old school" paint job look? I'm sure the pics don't do it justice and in person in the sun it gleems.

It looks amazing in the flesh, quite dark, the gold marble isn't that gold when over the black.

I love the new breed of Norton bikes, so copied there paint schemes a bit : )

It's a friend of mine who does this kind of thing as a hobbie (day job is accident repair) the plastics were all damage in my crash last year, he's done a superb job.

Frame and swing arm painted too, I'll post up some decent pics once it's all assembled in a few more weeks

Oh man, I've got to see a picture of your bike in the sunlight once you've got it all together!

Nice work. You are always tinkering with you bike. Does this mean the carbon wrap is no more? I liked the flat look of it. Excited to see the final outcome!!

have you ever seen them do marbleizing? It is so ez and so nice. After letting the images gell a bit since my last post, the plastics now look like wood with the pin stripes appearing like inlay accents.

; )

The solid colour is actually a Porsche brown, it's has a slight flip in it green/gold, pics don't do it justice

And this is a bike I saw at a bike show which gave me the inspiration but ive added my own twist.

My air box and front fairings are amazing too, so pleased with the final look.

Joe, you don't need fancy paint on your bike. Nobody can see fancy paint at the speed you run ; )

Avalaugh, that is some nice paint work. A friends paints a lot of bikes and it is amazing how you actually get the "marble" finish. My buddy calls it "Bowling Ball finish".

It's getting there, the plastics are just laid on so the lines appear not to align, but they do once installed correctly : )

Got a nice bit of work going on with the side pods, some gold leaf !!! if all goes well should have pics of that too in a few weeks.......

That looks awesome! Well done! You need to cut some of that leather from the couch to do the seat...

Haha my thoughts exactly, thinking a dark brown suede for the seat.

Was going to paint the pods, but were unsure now, may be a bit too much, so going to get it outside next month and get a proper perspective.

All that's left is to put on some new rubber, get some tax and a MOT.

As you said, might be perspective, but a glance at your last pic tells me that you should go with the pods painted also to complete the look.

Just my $.02, which depreciates rather quickly...

Looks very good, the Ducati front fork and front wheel brake system fitted together are very rare. The painting is a work of art. I am also disassembled my machine but not nearly as far.
I'll work on the suspension of an Ohlins specialist in Holland

That looks great - - for my also quickly depreciating $.02, I'd leave the pods black, especially since the frame and swing arm are gloss black. Your call, of course, looks awesome regardless.

Like the look of that rear rim, plans for a match up front ? ?

Plans are for a Marchesini front wheel once funds allow.

The forks are from a Yamaha R1.
