Yes, I guess I do. I don't do this stuff for a living, so I really don't know. Just trying to learn, sorry it's too elementary of a question for you. It looks to me that you drain the oil, take off the cover, switch the part, fill the oil, and test. Am I way off? Really, I was just hoping for a quick answer. Again I'm sorry to have bothered anyone with the question...just trying to educate myself. Maybe just don't answer it next time?

I can do it in less than 3/4 of a hour, but have been in there 6 or 7 times. If you take your time as you should and follow the manual it is a afternoons work.

Not super easy the first time out. but I would recommend it to anyone with patience and a willingness to buy a tool if need... like a big deep socket, torque wrench

You will be removing and installing a new rotor and locking the engine can be a challenge.... I think it can be particularly challenging if you do not have the valve covers off and spark plugs out.

The stator is pretty easy if you are patient with the wires, reinstalling/routing them can be a little difficult due to minimal space in the harness guides.

I would change your focus from being fast to doing a good job.... a good BUELL tech is impossible to find

just my 0.02

Thanks for everyone's help. It is much more involved than what I first thought but obviously not impossible from hearing everyone's experiences. I'll probably give it a try this winter. Thanks again everyone.

BTW, don't forget to have a new gasket on hand. The kit does not have one. #R0008.1AM
