No, I didn't buy mine in MI.
I'm also one of the guys who bought an "extra" bike instead of trading one in. My problem is that I had more bikes than I had room for before I bought the 1125. That problem hasn't gotten any better!  |

When I found my 2009 CR for $6000, I jumped on it. All the 1125's I've found around here were going for 7,500 to 8,500. It was my third bike and no garage to park them in. Still worth every penny. Love my CR!!! |

If I wasn't riding the (clearly superior) 2008 1125R, I would be totally willing to pay this much money for a good condition CR.
(joking, people...don't get your panties in a bunch)
Honestly though, my money is being saved for an S1. |

I find it so hard to understand why people here dont think an 1125 is worth a firesale price even today. I didnt know how much I would like my 1125r till I owned it. Id gladly have paid full price had I known. Thankfully I didnt have to. So my answer is yes Id gladly pay that for a cr |

My problem was responsibility.
I "had" to ride the 08 1125R at the product launch campaign, trying to chase guys like NattyX1 around a racetrack for 2 days at Pocono.
In love with the machine. Instantly.
Problem? I already owned four other Buells, and needed a fifth like a hole in my head. Could not justify spending a nickel on another bike until my Uly was paid off.
Then, the CR came out. Ahhhh....a liquid cooled S1W. Gorgeous. Basic. Stripped-down. And then I rode it when the demo fleet visited. Much as I loved the R...the gearing on the CR slapped me upside the head and screamed "I'M THE ONE, DAMMIT!!!!!!" But I still couldn't justify it. Wanted it so bad I could taste it, but couldn't make myself do it.
Then, the fire sale. And, we had a black CR that was still in the crate.
Tagged the crate "SOLD".
Taped "do not PDI" to the outside.
Did my credit app, wrote my deal, helped PDI my own bike, and took it home.
I've never looked back. What a machine. Absolutely amazing...even if it is nothing but a little troublemaker-hooligan 
Would I do it again?
In a heartbeat.
But just *sitting* on the 1190RS at NJMP...hoisting it off the sidestand...watching Erik's face as he watched mine, as I asked him "my God man, where's the rest of it??"...hm. Can't wait for a chance to take one of the NEW generation for a spin! |
