Agree... or the one like on the RC8 My buddy's RC8 sounds great with the stock can and has a good looking exit tip.!

Would need to make the can LOOK a bit better since its uncovered..

Here is a clean aftermarket:

Weird how the exhaust manifold from the rear cylinder is run on the RC8.

You do... it's just got the exit pointed at the rear brake and it's kinds ugly...

Some of the aftermarket cans look great but are all WAY too loud!

I appear to be one of the odd few that actually like the look of the stock can. I would prefer a different trajectory from the tips but nothing that 10 minutes with Eagle One wheel cleaner can't fix. The weight is a different story as an aftermarket can is by far the cheapest way to add performance in weight savings alone. Though I would prefer a deeper tone and a little more volume, I do think the added DB's of some of the aftermarket cans would get old in the long run. I have ridden with Badlionsfan who has a Barker with a quiet core and that was not loud at all, very pleasant sound. I just struggle with the idea of having to repack my can every season. I am either going to develop my own chambered exhaust can with twin slash cut tips or just ceramic coat my stock exhaust.

Albert666, I like the sound of that! Judging by the other work I have seen you do I'm excited to see what you have going on!

Looks like the muffler should be moved forward like 5 inches. I like the dual exit too!

I don't think bolting a universal can on will do it, needs to be a can designed and built to fit the space there.

yeah i think it could be moved forward a bit, its not an off the shelf can though, i made it, its about as wide as you can go without fouling the sidestand and i wouldn't want it any lower, i think i'm going back with my usual oval, this wasn't any quieter either

Don't give up on this idea!!! A little fine tuning and you got a winner! Maybe a different baffle (no packing type system)system to quiet it more and more muffler internal volume by making it rise up at the rear like the stock can???

You have skills and I think you could put together a really nice system!

Stock exhaust sure covers up a lot of empty space down there, doesn't it!

I'd like to suggest that you shorten the collector some and move the can forward. That should tuck it up into the cases a bit more and clean up the gaps (see through) too.

Excellent work.
