So, over a month later and I finally got the parts laid out, measured, and form completed to send the headers off to be ceramic coated this week. O2 sensor bungs have been cleaned up. It wasn't weld slag like I originally thought but pipe material from when the holes were drilled.
Will post a shot when I get 'em back coated.

Looks great Nels! Post up a pre & post video if you don't mind.
Have you dyno'd the old setup? Would love to hear the sound difference between the slip on FMF and full system.
So jealous... |

I don't have any dyno runs of the current setup: K&N, FMF slip-on, and matching EBR ECM. I've dyno'ed a lot of cars but never a bike so don't even know where to go in Houston, also not sure how helpful that will be as I'll still be running the same ECM so if the FMF full system flows more there may not be additional fuel for it.
There are vids out of the FMF but IMO the vids never accurately capture the sound of any exhaust. I doubt my non-existent video skills would improve on that.

Nels - agreed. What i've tried to watch to compare exhausts is before/after videos.
When shot by the same person, and roughly the same spot, it seems to show at least the difference between the two.
If not quite as refined as Al's shootout process and txt/audio files.
Ceramic coat the inside only, or the outside too? Almost a shame to coat that beautiful Ti! |

Got my headers back from the ceramic coaters BUT I had them delivered to my work address. Weather was nice today in Houston so rode the bike. Figures.

Forerunner, AF-1 Racing has dyno, they are in Austin and New Braunfels. Have a good rep in Aprilia world, could call them.
And I have had good luck tuning our 1125 with the Power Commander 5. |

Problem is, I bought the CR new from Corpus Cristi HD and rode it back to Houston and was sore for days from those damn clubman bars.
Have since taken her to Galveston and back and I would have to say that is about the limit of what I can take. lol
Don't ever get old guys...

Finally got the Full System installed today. Did it over the course of 2 weekends cause I didn't have the right tools to remove the top 2 rear header bolts last weekend and ran out of time/patience.
Here are some completely unscientific weights I measured off the bathroom scale.
FMF Ti Full System(silencer, headers, midpipe, and all fasteners/springs/brackets) = 10lbs
FMF Ti silencer only = 3.5lbs
FMF Full System headers = 4.5lbs
FMF Carbon system(silencer, midpipe) = 6.5lbs
FMF Carbon silencer = 4.5lbs
Stock headers = 4.5lbs

For giggles I started her up before installing the new muffler. Godawful loud. To paraphrase Clarkson it sounded like Poseidon god of thunder gargling nails. With the muffler on I don't notice it as being louder than the old system I had.

Peeweesp - Rear header went right on and the 2 upper header bolts were pretty much a non-issue with the new 'custom' tool my father-in-law made. The weekend prior I was cussing up a storm trying to remove those bolts. I could get the wrench on the upper bolt but had no play to turn it.
FWIW, all I removed was the tail body work, pulley cover, and right side engine cover. I did not rotate the engine, remove rearsets or shock.
All that's needed to remove the rear header is this special purpose tool:

Yeah the offset 10mm is a must. I had the same issue though. I could get the wrench on but no space to move it. It was a pain. Putting it back on was alright once the nuts where in place lol |

The lines of that system makes the engine look real pretty. Tucks and fits nicely. Do you have a photo from the front quarter?
