Frustrating. Dangerous. Unacceptable. Like others, I am now stuck without my bike while I wait for them to send my dealer the same dysfunctional crap they installed last time. There are too many of us. This isn't an anomaly. What we have here is a need for a govt mandated recall if HD isn't gonna do the right thing without prodding. | ||

Aggravating bummer for sure. How much time is there left on the warranty? I have a feeling that unless a recall forces H-D's hand, the aftermarket will hopefully produce an acceptable fix by the time two years after the last 1125 was produced so that those companies (EB R?) won't have to butt heads with H-D. | ||

Frustrating Unacceptable Bungled Abominable Recallable is how I'd assess it. (sorry, Nattyx1) Well, it's been about 5000 miles since my last stator install. The original lasted about 9000.  The first replacement stator gave up the ghost yesterday. Checked stator AC volts when I got home and it's only putting out about 1.6 VAC on two legs and less than 1.0 on the other. Guess that explains why it's FUBAR Come on H-D, fix it right. 1000s of 1125 owners aren't happy with the status quo. | ||

Not the version of FUBAR I'm used to but it'll work... Steve - bummer you got bit with that mess. Best solution is the 08 stator/rotor, cost is an issue. Try to find a used set for a reasonable price or buy a whole engine for the price HD wants for new parts. If it breaks on a trip, bungee a car battery on the tail and kill the lights... I'm glad Loretta is an 08. Zack | ||

Hi guys... The next 5th of December my warranty expires too, and 5 Stators and 4 VR in almost two years, now the last one installed starts to fail again with only 2500km... Charges when bikes is in movement but drops to 12.2-12 on traffic lights... FUBAR Next week I'm going to make a visit to HD Spain, it's only 20km from my home, to ask for a solution, because this is unacceptable. And to ask about the famous letter/email form HD talking about that they only replace this pieces in warranty and the the user can •••• himself (sorry about that) when the warranty expires. By the way anyone know where I can find this letter/email? I hope it helps in any way. | ||

There is an 08 stator for sale right now on eBay. I did notice several of imperial sport bikes 08 motors missing the stator/rotor that are for sale on ebay. I have a feeling after I told people about getting them on the cheap there he must have started pulled them off the engines lol. So check with imperialsportbikes2 or pinwallcycles.
