riding for Rich Conrath of Innovative Motorcycles based in New Jersey. Rich is the Pirelli east coast tire distributor and had been sponsoring racing Buells in the early xb years when i met him at Barber.

That does look great, can't help but wonder though what an Easy Rider/Stars and Stripes airbox cover would do for the whole image.

Erik Buell Racing Didn't due to limited supply. That may be why others don't as well. Until they can get two or three, they'll stick to one common wheel. Teams usually like to have spares on standby ready to go onto the bike plus sometimes one fitted with a rain tire. Different weight of wheels would affect setup, so they opt for one common wheel.

I cannot tell from the photos above whether or not the OEM rear wheel is being used.

The CrotchRocket.tv team used it.

We used the stock rear wheel. It's awesome. Sooooo light. We can't afford any spares, so we get to go with what we have, or can cannibalize form something else.

Nice Yamaha!

Oh that's not a MotoGP themed Yamaha?

It's a Buell? Still a nice paint job!

Cool - Barney raced for Conrath on the XB back when Cicotto was racing for Buell/HD/Hals.

Cool times are here once again.

I'd not have recognized Rich. Met him in person at Kosko H-D/Buell back in 2001. He was there for a big open house party showing off his Buell racer; I was there to pick up some Buell stuff while working in NJ. He sure was enthused about racing and getting top performance out of the Buells. He prepared the first Buell XB racer (a 2003 XB9R) just a few weeks from its release in Spring 2002, and with Eric Wood riding won the FUSA Sportbike race in a field of 600cc IL4's at Loudon.

It is great to see him back racing a Buell.
