Saturday morning I rode in approx. 45° sunny weather. Bike HATED the temp and bucked and spit for several minutes. E BR ecm so I was assuming a 'race' tune just wasnt designed for cold weather. As the morning warmed up , got a lot of condensation in tje cluster. Had a comm error briefly flash 2 or.3 times. Next time I started it , the tach was 'doubling' rpm. Ran fine just double rpm showing. I disconnected battery , gave a few mins then hooked back up. Problem solved , and has been fine since. Anyone else have something like that happen? | ||

if the unit is fogging on the inside, get it replaced. There is a problem with it. As for everything else, I've been told by several people to check grounds. That's what I get to do this winter. Good luck and have fun. | ||

Something's wrong. Mine runs just fine in 45F. It gets cranky around 20F starting up. Check grounds, check battery. A dying battery may have trouble in the cold and keep the voltage unreasonably low - the bikes do NOT like low voltage, I've noticed. | ||

I've had problems like that in cold, rainy weather. The cluster fogged up and was showing like 500 rpms, but was running like normal. I turned it off and waited a sec and it stopped doing it. Is the cluster bad if it gets moisture in it when you wash the bike? Or if it's cold and humid and fogs?? I also get the fuel light sometimes when the tank is full. Is that cluster related as well. The bike never performs funny. I don't think it's the fuel pump. (Message edited by motorhead102482 on October 11, 2011) |
