It was cold in the fog on the way up the 1 and hot as hell going coming down the 5. Bike ran like a top. 6,500 RPM most of the time and had no problems. Plus I finally got over the 7,500 miles required to put a CA plate on it. It's hundreds of miles of non-stop, smooth and scenic coastal road. It's mankind's gift to road enthusiasts! I did that ride back in June. It's the stuff dreams are made of. I hate California emissions rules and C.A.R.B. But I love the roads, the coastline, the weather, and the people (most). The one thing I do agree with C.A.R.B. is how they have helped minimize the growing smog problem. Because of them our air is not as bad as say, Mexico city! However, they are Nazi's when it comes to performance cars and bikes and continually bring forth ridiculous legislation that does NOT make any meaningful effect on reducing emissions--too much unchecked power in the hands of a few.   Smit3833 Posted on Thursday, September 01, 2011 - 12:08 pm:        Beautiful drive BTW.
