Al: if you are working with Saddleman maybe see if you can get some sport seats done all in vinyl? Seems a coupe here and maybe a few not are put off by the suede.
I know I am which is why I was leaning towards the Tech.
Just a suggestion. |

I actually ordered the tech for the same reason, but on Al's advise switched to the Sport
in person, it's nice. I'm glad I made the change |

first good ride, about 70 miles round trip
comfortable, liking it
but.......my imagine or done anyone else thing it might be a bit warmer? |

WEIGHT of stock seat: 2 lbs, 2.5 oz
WEIGHT of sport seat: 3 lbs, 12.75 oz
Guess I'll need to cut a couple cheeseburgers out  |

I'm thinking it's the gap back there. I'm going to stuff some heat shield in there and see what happens,
I put about 3 hours yesterday, and about the same today. I think it's noticeable, but not substantial.
The increased comfort makes it worth it if it is a bit hotter |

What's with the little pillion bonnet? Is it enough material to have the rear seat covered by a local person? |

That is the idea. It should be, I got it to fit over the stock covering. Instructions say to remove stock covering and replace with this. Can DIY or have upholstery shop do it, or ship to seat company and they'll do it for $35} |

Great seat. I will test it on Thursday on a 300+ mile ride to key west. The sport is very nice but I think it will limit the ability to move around while riding hard because it is kinda grippy.
The gap is not a big deal. I think it will draw some of the heat out.
