Pretty sure my stator is gone. Was heading home from work and got the dreaded battery light. Dropped to 11.6 volts I believe. Checked stator this morning and wasn't hardly showing any voltage. Only 2700 miles on it too. At least it is still under warranty till the end of November... Still this sucks!!! | ||

Do you have the stator harness? mine had harness from the beginning and died at 2,200 miles. I got another stator on warranty. I used the harness for the first 12,000 miles. I couldn't get the system to stay alive with an Erik Buell Racing ECM until I disconnected the harness. The last 1,000 miles have been the best yet with an electrical system that is NOW running the electronics properly, way more torque from idle on up. I have added 3+ quarts of oil for the last 10 oil changes (10,000 miles). My second stator has lasted so much longer compared to the first, it makes me think HD Quality Assurance lives :-) | ||

Not how I wanted my first post to go. Have been visiting this forum for years. Usually got my answers by searching. Had an 04 XB12R, but never had a single problem with it. I do not have the harness upgrade. Picked the bike up used a couple months ago. Had just been enjoying it. Hoping to get the 08 parts. We shall see. |
