So I had a local shop wind me a new stator. I asked for heavy wire so he went a bit bigger and ended up with 3 less turns. No epoxy final coating as he felt maybe the issue is that while the epoxy helps insulate against heat the stator will still get hot and then it will trap the heat in.

So in with the Compufire and on the harness at idle in the garage she was dropping power. Took the harness off and she stabilized at 12-12.2.

Went for a ride and she holds steady at 13.4. Just finished a longer ride and no issues. No batt light.

Guess we will see how it goes.

I should just grab a 08 set up.....
