Due to the fact I cannot make a slow speed right hand turn(Yea I layed her down  ). I busted the right side foot peg and decided to order the American Sport Bike scalloped foot pegs in Titanium finish and bases.     The bases which must be purchased separately from the foot pegs and need to be machined to fit the 1125 R/CR. I just put some 200 grit sandpaper on the concrete and started sanding away till i was close to where i thought they should be, then used 400 grit then 800 grit. Not a lot of material to be removed. These are the before and after.   | ||

Look nice, I've ordered the 360 degree swivel ones from eBay, can't remember the make off the top of my head. Hope they arrive soon . | ||

The 360 ones are likely the cycle pirates. I have them on my bike but didn't use the swivel part.   | ||

I like them quite a bit. Much more grip (I was constantly slipping off the peg, not anymore) I bought the lowering swivels as well, but they seem to protrude so much that I kept landing on teh swivel and not the peg, so I pulled them and installed as shown above... Love them. | ||

I have a set too. Liked them so much I bought a spare set of pegs and mounts for possible 'incidents' at the track. Just used a file to reshape the mounts so that the pegs sit at 90 degrees to bike. Takes like 5 minutes. The hardest part was getting the pin and spring back in, until I figured out I could just use a wooden dowel to keep the spring lined up, then just tap in the pin (knocking the dowel out the other side) and good to go. | ||

I like where the stockers were located so I kept them in this position... Just wanted a better peg. | ||

Wooden dowel, ha that to easy. I used four hands a hammer and screw driver. hahahah | ||

On rare occasions, I have a moment.. Short piece of 3/8" dowel (or close to diameter of pin) just short enough to allow you to slip the peg mount into the bracket. I only had two hands to work with, and I was getting pissed until the 'if I could just keep the spring lined up while I slip the pin in' thought gelled into an actual idea. (The dowel now lives in my toolbox just for that purpose) |
