" That'll be me then, I put alot of effort into my bike, I like it, I ride it good and hard and dont bitch about the flaws of the bike, I fix them. Each to there own, It's wrapped as i crashed it hard at a local race track, was cheaper than buying new panals. I also have put alot back into this forum, so choose your words carefully...... | ||

Let me rephrase, "personally I dont care for the way some peoples bikes look, like the one person on here who has a bike with a lot of mixed up ideas including a polished arm or frame, and stock whichever is not polished. I dont care for miss-matched wheels (color and spoke amount). And I hate CF wrap because its fake. But Im sure the guy is still a decent human." | ||

Sarcasm is the lowest form of humor. You obviously lack any vision, my bike is no way near finished, I ride in the summer work on it during the winter months, riding through 4 countries next month on a huge european tour. The wheel is amber as its from an XB, the rear wheel which I had powder coated the same as the front is damaged and undergoing repairs. You dont know the facts as you have not been on this forum as long as I have, so doubt you've seen my threads regarding the build, crash, repairs, failures, fixes and helpful hints and videos Iv'e posted for all to use. Dont take the piss out of my bike or me. | ||

I am/was commenting purely on the picture you've put up in the past with a picture from a garage (IIRC). And I dont have vision because your bike is half finished? I dont have vision cause I dont like miss-matched wheels and a polished arm when nothing else is polished? Its all opinion. Its like this thread - several people spoke of how ugly the bike with green wheels is - but the owner probably liked it a lot, does that mean EVERYONE on here (who dislikes it) has no vision? Its. people say a lot of things about HD and its riders that I dont say anything about. But when certain things are said, yes, I'll defend it because a lot of times people talk about the poor build quality or this and that and its simply not true. And I am to apologize for not liking his motorcycle? Look, Im truly sorry anyone was offended, I dont know the owner, and didnt know the person who posted the picture, so it was nothing personal at all, but that doesnt change my opinion on the bike in the picture(s) that I've seen. | ||

It's not the green bike that's being discussed Trbulnt, it's Avalaugh's carbon wrapped one that the discussion seems to have migrated to. Personally I really like Avalaugh's bike, and I've seen the crash/build pics so know there's a reason for some mismatch parts... TBH when I posted my comment about that green bike I was assuming it wasn't owned by anyone on here, not that it'd change my opinion about it being a bit on the fugly side...but if someone piped up that it was theirs I'd probably apologise. As a general rule, if I see a pic I don't like I have a tendancy not to say anything. There are a few bikes I've looked at (including a few owned by my friends) that I've thought "Yikes, that's hideous" but smiled and said "nice bike"... That may be seen a hypocritical to some but for me I consider it a little white lie, after all, why would my opinion of their bike be any more valid than their opinion of their bike? My friends call my bikes "tacky" because they normally have flames and bullet holes on them, I've resisted when it comes tot he Buell as it's just too pretty to despoil that way LOL} | ||

Avalaugh's bike is just fine imo. Just like the fella himself  My 1125 is bog standard, at least he has a go at making his his own. Less slaggin' off would be good Peter - rides a HD too but hey, nobody's perfect. | ||

Hey I thought that 08CR was super ugly too. I only live 3 hours away from Lake County so I figured I would go take a look. For 3000 it was a steal. Even with the green I fell in love with it and snagged it up. The green isn't actually that bad and the polished swingarm and body is sick! It was a salvage title because of the 2 little dings on the frame that you can see in the pic below. Who cares if it's fugly, doing over 100 in third gear is ••••••• awesome!   | ||

Wow i caught onto this thread a little late....for 3k.. the bike looks like a steal... As for the green wheels. If it was on a R with the Fairing kit, it would remind me of a Kawi.... As for all the haterade comments and feelings getting hurt... Jesus people... get over it, its a comment.. Personally i tell people what i think. MOST of time people get butthurt, but i also EXPECT people to tell me the truth, don't sugar coat it, don't be politically correct.. just give it to me with both barrels and be gone... Avalaugh had you never said a thing, i would have no idea your bike is considered ugly by some... honestly if ANYONE is getting their feelings hurt over comments made on the internet... you need to get out more..Besides at the end of the day, who owns the bike? who has to look at it day in and day out?? who will still have a SH!# eating grin from ear to ear when they ride it....YOU! | ||
