I got sideswiped by an old guy in a tahoe two days ago. I'm a little bruised up and the bike is actually not that bad. (I rode it home) I would have probably just replaced a peg and the bars for now if it was on my dime, but as his insurance will be paying it I will just fix those for now to get back on the road and then replace the scuffed stuff later. What is the fastest way to get a right side rider peg? I know it will take my dealer two weeks and I want to be riding way before then. Can somebody check the part number for me? The other thing I'm looking for is a high bar kit, anybody have one lying around? I'm going to take this opportunity to finally switch to the high bars. Thanks | ||

I can loan you a peg for the time being if you like...i swapped my CR over to uly pegs a while ago. want to keep the stockers...but if it gets you riding sooner...send me a pm | ||

Are you talking about the foot peg with the rubber piece in it or the toe piece. I have both sides if thats the right part. | ||

Thanks guys, Im talking about the actual peg with the black rubber top surface. I actually just ordered one from my dealer cause he said it would be 5-7 days and that is as soon as they can get me in for an estimate anyway. Rat, how do you like the uly pegs, and how much did they cost you? | ||

Cant comment on uly pegs but I purchased the knight design 1 inch drop pegs. Im 6"1 so it felt fantastic having more leg room. | ||

The Uly foot pegs bolt straight on with no modification and give you an extra 1 inch of leg room. They work well on the CR but I find them too wide for my R as your foot is at a different angle due to the riding position - I've got XB Lightning pegs on that - they fit with a little filing - mount them up and you'll see where. | ||

You might have already done this, but get a repair quote and give that to his insurance. then get what you want... check out the cycle pirate pegs - pretty nice if you are long legged. adjustable for however you want them - more leg room dropped, or more clearance raised up! anything else banged/scuffed up? GSD has the new RevB pucks now too... GL! | ||

6'4" here with 34" (titanium rods) inseam. love the uly pegs, but do need to extend my shift and brake toepegs about half an inch. i feel pigeon toed when i brake or shift...but with size 13s i have enough foot-real-estate to work with lol | ||

Got the pegs figured out, though I would like to go with the Cycle pirates eventually. Does anybody have a high bar kit or know where to get a good deal on one? Are they still available thru dealers? |
