A while back I made a post about what I thought was valve train noise on my 1125R. I talked to a few mechanics and a couple of fellow Bad Web gurus. I was told not to worry about it, but the noise still bothered me a bit, so I looked to the US government for inspiration and thought, if they can throw money at a problem and the solution is only a band aid to the real problem so can I. Solution an APH Engineering exhaust. Now I don't hear a thing from the motor, and I keep the R's up because I can't get enough of that music. My motor noise aside Alan at APH did a great job, his craftsmanship and customer service are second to none. Thanks Alan for a great product!

I will have picks up later this weekend.

Alan recommended a Drummer map for now until Erik Buell Racing gets a specific map for the APH slip on.

Yeah, that's what I'm running, 138bhp at the wheel is very nice : )

I ordered my APH from Alan today.

I've decided to go for the Free Spirits (Dobeck) fuelling card as I've used one before with great success on a R1200GS and it gives some adjustment.

While the bike is apart I'll do the de-noid and fit a K&N too.

Congrats Wraithwrider, you will not be disappointed! Avalaugh, how is power delivery on low end with the Drummer ECM? I am learning not to run the bike under the 3700 RPM range, but around town and the occasional lazy corner that RPM would be nice.

No complaints, power wheelies in 2nd all the time, can ride right down to as little as 2000rpm if your gentle with throttle but that won't be good for charging, I like my redline : )

My APH arrived yesterday and it was so light in the box I thought it must be something else : )

If it cost twice as much I'd still be happy. It is extremely well made and fits spot on. Very impressed.

So I have been thinking about the APH... its one of the most finely crafted systems for the 1125. How loud does it seem to you compared to other exhaust systems/other bikes you've heard?

Two questions about photos from the APH site:

1. On this picture, I cannot see the little springs and tabs that hold the pipes together directly below the engine. Most other pics of the APH slip have that spring. It looks better without, is that an option, and does it fall apart?

2. A reverso slip on for the 1125??? This is insane and I love it. More info/price on this?

spiffious, i can make them how you like, all in one piece or with a slip joint and springs, no they won't fall apart, just easier to ship in two parts, they are as loud as everything else out there, the straight thru oval is 107db@5k with baffle, 110 without, i do have a quieter option but its not as pretty, i can do you a reverso, i have two on order now, its still loud, pm me for a price
