So this morning I was commuting on the highway, I know I was pretty low on fuel 120 miles or so since last fill up. Anyways I was crusing at about 75 or so and I felt the bike lunge or buck slightly, I backed off and then the low fuel light came on. As I was driving to nearest exit I noticed heavier engine braking. I then got off exit and filled up, rode the rest of the way about 5 miles no problem. Is this like a lag between switching to reserve? or more engine braking to maximize fuel range? Thanks (Message edited by fio835 on July 16, 2011) | ||

There is no separate reserve tank, just a sensor to let you know when the fuel in it drops below a set level. No idea if the ECM changes running parameters once the fuel light goes on, but I doubt it. | ||
