I know, it's been covered a dozen times!

My question is ... Is this a warranty issue?

Mine had never leaked this badly, the whole house smells of gasoline and wife's not happy!!!

File a complaint with the EPA it just might be a recall with all 1125's
LOL
I bet the first bike to catch on fire due to this will be a lawsuit and a recall

I tried to get one for free but was told by customer service that Harley would pay for my bike to have the frame on my '08 insulated instead. The closest dealer that was willing to do the job is 2 hours away. Not wanting to waste 8 hours in travel time (two round trips) plus be without the bike, I didn't bother with it. I ended up buying a charcoal canister and the associated hoses/hardware on my own dime but I haven't actually installed it. Yeah, I'm being lazy about it.

How much insulation are we talking here? I have seen 1 lonely patch of heat reflectant on the inner right side of the frame.

Pics?

I think it was about $75 or so for all of the parts. There was a thread on here a while back with all of the part numbers. I may decide to just resell my parts tho, if I end up being too lazy to install them.

My experience was the same as Danny's ... When I called HD directly and said my daughter's bedroom (above the garage) smells like we live at a refinery, they gave me the Authorization # to give to my servicing dealership to get the install (parts / labor) done on HD's dime. Don't stop at the first "no" you hear - Keep pushing the issue until they make it right.
