So you have to understand that I am not well mechanically inclined. But I'm learning! I have a slow clutch weep and I wanted to ask about the bubble in the view window on the handle. the bubble is located on the top of the window, slightly to the right if your looking at it.

Does this mean low fluid???

In order to add clutch fluid what is the procedure. I have heard things about bleeding? and not getting air in? The manual says just unscrew and fill.

I just dont have anytime to get it to a dealer till probaly august.

Thanks for your help!

The "bubble" is just showing the air gap above the fluid level. TBH you're better off having some air above the fluid as when it gets hot (the fluid) it'll expand and if it can't then it'll put pressure on the slave cylinder and either make the clutch slip or add to the leaking problem.

We're not talking about a lot of pressure and a lot of slip, but to give the clutch the best chance of surviving for a longer time a slight air gap is a good thing.

If you do want o fill it, assuming the fluid hasn't go so low that it's allowed air into the system (i.e. the fluid is still covering the inlet to the master cylinder's piston) then it really is just a case of unscrewing the two screws and topping the fluid up.. no need to bleed anything.

I'd get the weep sorted soon though, the fluid will mark the clutch cover and strip the paint on the exhaust if left... plus the leak will get worse over time and might fail catastrophically at some point, probably when you least want it to.

It's relatively simple DIY repair (half an hour) if you buy the kit.

So the bubble being were it is means there's still enough fluid?

Thanks for your help!

Without trying to sound difficult it does depend how big the bubble is..

As long as the fluid is over half way up the little round window you're OK, below that and I'd put a bit in..
