So shortly after I got my bike i noticed it does indeed have a slow clutch weep. It's time to get it fixed but my work schedule is tough in terms of getting it to the dealer.

I have the part number to order Im just not sure how much clutch fluid is in there and its a slow weep but its been going on for say 2 weeks.

Is it ok to let it weep for a little, I just dont wanna have problems on the road.

Yup.

Just keep tabs on the clutch fluid level. You don't want to suck air into the line.

I just noticed mine is weeping. Again. After the fix.

Even after a complete upgrade to the latest model number parts I still have a little weep from the outside puck. Enough to discolor the powdercoat (snail trail) and pucker the paint on the puck. A puckered puck...but still plenty of clutch action so I let it be.

Damn shame about this defect, but it's nothing that will keep you off the road.

Ther German solution made by KTM Hannover http://www.ktm-h.de/

The Piston/Slave is installed at my 1125R, everything fits perfectly and there are no leaks. On weekend I drove 1000 km, it is still dry.

"cleep" is short for "Clutch weep". The subject should now read: "I got the cleep!"

ps: sorry, couldn't help myself.

So, just what is the factory fix? I've had two of the update kits installed by the dealer. The last one didn't make it home from the shop without leaking. I have a 2008 1125r still under warranty.

When I asked on here about the probability of the 1190 having slave cyl problems, someone 'in the know' stated that the 1190 was better in some way. I don't know if Erik Buell Racing has produced some kind of 'Rev C' cylinder and piston for the new bike or wether they were refering to the current upgrade kit, which has failed on me several times.
Oberon Performance in the UK have completed two different versions of the cylinder and they are currently being tested on a Helicon.

The 1000km Test is done and it works very well and it is still dry.

I just had the "fix" done to mine, second time, and she's still leaking.

The kit is X2086.1AM and was $232. Other parts they replaced at the same time:

CE0006.1AM
CF0001.1AM
CF0007.1AMA
R0009.1AM
R1021.1AM
X0077.1AM
94678Y

The other parts were another $50 or so. Labor was listed as 3.1 hours.

Syonyk - It's the brake fluid that leaks. At least that's what they told me it was.
