Found a cool solution to the clear LED stop light w/o lic lamp. These are bolts that have a mini LED inside them. Works well and looks decent.

I use them on my Ulysses, since I replaced the tag light with a red TIR-3 police light, wired to a flasher and the brakelight switch.

I have two TIR-3's as brakelights. One steady-on, one flashes, and the stock brakelight flashes. I *almost* feel guilty using the brakes at night!

But, the tag bolt LED's are pretty decent. Not far enough away from the tag to make it actually visible at night (they're close enough that the stamped letters make shadows)...but enough to keep legal.
