I took my bike into the shop for a leak a few weeks back. They said the rebreather hose or something had come off, they rode it, said no more sign of leak. The next day, I lost brake light an speedo, with the help of badweb, located loose connector and refused. Next day oil leak is evident.
Question, could oil leak be result of anything I did removing air cover, filter, or seat? I'm not sure I can upload pics but ill try.
Bike is under warranty, the shop has been super helpful, but I am trying to get more familiar with my bike as the impending out of warranty date closes in

Too many unknowns to make a good guess.

If you have too much oil and the breather is disconnected from the airbox, the motor will get splooged.
You'd probably foul your plugs tho if it were connected and over-filled.

Valve covers are easy to screw up with the tight spaces.
I had a HUGE leak from that once.

Tinactin foot powder spray on a clean engine will find the leak ASAP.

Welcome to 1125 insanity.

Thanks for the response, I know I didn't provide a lot of info to go off. I'm going to double check the breather, then take it to the shop if no relief. Cheers

so harley says the clutch cover was leaking a little. they re-torqued it, rode it and say it's fine. considering asking them to go ahead and order the kit if that's going to resolve it long run, is there a detail on the clutch weep problem part and fix on the board somewhere?

So, I rode it home and it was leaking. : ( I see that 2 bolts on the case are the culprit, has this ever happened to anyone else. I'm under warranty, so it'll be going back Tuesday and I'm going to try to get a rental.

Follow the thread I posted.

Get them to order the part # Froggy said.

That should do it.

i did, I brought it up to the tech who did the work at HD, and he says it's not coming from the clutch cover, it's the case behind it . im not doubting that the kit is what it needs, Im not sure how to convince him, when it honestly looks like it might be the seal on the case.

I'll try to post pics tomorrow

ok, i used the ol elbow torque wrench while riding around town yesterday, it still leaked. I'll get the proper tools tomorrow and retry. I'm wondering if what it really needs is some blue loctite and reinstall due to vibration. gonna have HD come pick it up if that doesn't work
