The reason the lines don't cross at 5252 on some dyno graphs is a common problem caused by using different scales for HP and Torque.

It's easily fixed in most dyno software.

I guess what I was getting at was, horsepower is derived FROM torque. 5252 is just the number it's divided by after multiplying torque times the rpm. Simple math really. I don't get how some dyno's will come up with a higher hp output for the same given torque at whatever rpm. That said, 88 ft/lbs of torque out of a stock 1125 is pretty high.

This dyno curve was also done at JT&S with Fireman Jim. Its with a Barker, matching Erik Buell Racing ECM, Twin Motorcycles velocity stacks and a K&N filter. It was was 141 HP Standard and 85 lbs of TQ. The 'stacks really helped the midrange and top end when compared to the stock set-up.

Easy, after reading your article if you have a tune for a Barker, your stacks and K&N filter I would be interested. -Tutt

Joe, needs top end HP for good dragtimes..
Then the Erik Buell Racing ECM is a very good tool to achieve this.

Both torque curves where made by the choise of the exhaust (first one stock Buell exhaust) (second one Erik Buell Racing dragpipe) are responsible for that.

every exhaust systems has his own specific caracteristic.

What I meant was that they are really close to not being curves at all, more like lines. It was a compliment and a joke all rolled in to one. It was funny in my head...
