So, now that I've put the CR high bar kit on, I get a great view of my own elbows in the mirrors... might as well own a Ducati for that rearview.
The manual says not to try to alter the mirror stems. What info do you guys have for me?

You can loosen the mirror perch at the handle bar and rotate them forward a few degrees with the levers, which may help depending on your size and riding position.

also look at the CRG 2 and 3" bar end mirrors - great quality but a little $$. I have the 3" LS model and like them a lot!

If you get rid of the CR mirrors, let me know. I need a set for my S1W : )

The factory mirrors never worked for me. All I saw was a blur behind me. Bar end mirrors worked great. Then I went digital and literally "never looked back" lol. Except when I head check before changing lanes.

Interesting...my arms move, pivot at the shoulder, elbow and wrist!
Just pull your elbow in a little. Hell, I even raise my whole arm every now and again.

Bar end mirrors are a joke...at least for me. Don't ever split lanes with them...you loose'em real quick.
When you have hit car mirrors with your stock mirrors...the silly bar mirrors would be trash LONG ago...!

Plus, you have to take your eyes off the road in front of you for too long.
And yea, I've been on friends bikes with them, so I do have a good idea on not using them for myself.

As far as the vibration...a little silicone fixes that real quick and easy.

I have bar end mirrors on my R, they're not the best for heavy traffic but if you don't do a lot of city driving they work fine. Probably not the best for lane splitting as noted above but they sure look better than those honkin' big shakin' shoulder lookin' mirrors.

Thanks Froggy... I thought that would be the answer, but the manual put the fear in me; thought it might activate the self-destruct mechanism. Incidentally, do you know if there will be a Buelltoberfest this year? I need my fix.

I fabricated a pair of brackets that moved the mirror mounts 1/2" forward, and 2" out.
Works like a charm!

i removed my mirrors and used bar ends. i noticed the weave had gone at higher speeds, so wont refit the stock. i also added acerbis dual road hand guards and fitted orange led strips in to use as indicators
