I just got my bike back after a couple weeks becausethey replaced my stator and added the charging harness "upgrade". The day after I get it back it is bucking and got the check engine light on for p0339 intermittent crank pos signal. Im going to take it back but just seeing if there's anything I can do. Im an auto tech and I pulled the ckp sensor and wiped it off even though it wasn't dirty. I fired it up and the light went off. I know it's related to what they did since the sensor is where they were working, but I have had other issues with this dealer in the past and they're acting like it's nothing they did and not seeing it as an priority. UGHGG just venting any suggestions?

I've read about pinched wiring after harness upgrades have been installed.

I'd check the entire harness.

had a similar issue, is digitech says everything is fine, just replace the ecm.
there's a thread here on badweb about this issue, somekind of JAN 2009.
and is your bike manufactured at this time?
if yes, recalibrate ecm, if it's not working, replace it, it's just damaged somehow.

OK, hopefully related, but a noob questions... I'm due for the service and parts work on my bike.

Saw video on Youtube about an "unfix" fix. He basically bypasses the charging harness it looks like?

I'm probably not describing it right. I likely won't be doing this until I understand the benefit and negative impact (it must want to have the bit he removes or buell would just do what he did vs provide new harness?).

Here's hte video:

I understand the higher voltage, but not having had any major issue (knock on wood) - what might this fix? bypassing the controller/relay he mentions - how does that impact the ECM or ... ?

Noob q like i said. Mine is fine so far, but i know my charging system is a bit weak (battery is need of replace on my stock 09).

thanks for the info!
