I bought the Chinese/Pazzo "knock offs" to see if I would like the shortys (and I do) so now i'm ready for the real deal just wondering how the black ASV's hold up in the Sun..

Thanks Guys !

Yes. Faded pinkish grey. No matter though, they still function perfectly well.

For almost $200 they shouldn't fade...that's ridiculous!

Mine haven't faded, but they only see the sun while I'm riding. I do love them.

If you have faded ASV C5 levers and they are less than 5 years old give ASV a call and inquire. Robert has been great to deal with at ASV.

I notice I receive two different finishes on the C5 levers. They come through in a matte black finish or a shinier black finish. I would think the shiny version would be a little more prone to fade if left outside all of the time, more so than the matte finish. I base this on my previous dealings with anodized fittings on braided lines.

I'm sure the Cali sun will eat about anything but I'll do my best to keep her shaded at work.....

If they do fade and ASV won't replace them just take the anodizing off with oven cleaner.
