i started my bike yesterday and i noticed the exhaust manifolds were red hot. when the fans came on the front manifold cooled down but the back one just turned a dull red, is this normal?

Totally normal for a stock bike, the E.B.R ECM will help with the high exhaust temps at idle and will run the fans more.

There are some photos somewhere in the archives of the headers glowing cherry red. It's OK.

NO...it's not "OK".
But it's somewhat normal for a stock ECM for the "header" to be red though.

But the Erik Buell Racing ECM should stop the problem.

the ecm stopped the reddness. i put a jardine on it! the only thing it is doing wrong now is, when i crack the throttle fast off idle in nuetral is it stalls some times! will that go away after a while?

No, it will not go away. It is normal for this engine. It has to do with the large throttle bodies dumping large amounts of air into the engine when you crack the throttle open quickly at idle. I have the same exhaust and race ECM. I can kill my engine at will when idling by slamming open the throttle. I just don't do it.

when the fuell mixture is not oke, it get's red glowing. most of the times it is a lean mixture, caused by:

1. placing open exhaust
2. placing open filter
3. forget to update the ECM
