After busting a second 25R mirror I have decided to go the XB mirror route and converting the running lights to turn signals. I bought some 5 LED 5W5 socket bulbs that have about 12 lumen, but they don't seem all that bright considering that they are competing for attention from the headlights. So.. has anyone tried these yet - think they are in the 75 lumen range? From superbrightleds.com BTW.  | ||

That's what I used to replace my running lights... But just as a replacement bulb rather than a turn signal conversion. They are super bright! But they are a white light rather than amber... | ||

Thanks Jules - physical fit in the reflector housing was one of my original concerns, but sounds like it's a non concern. I am looking to use the Amber ones but I don't think the intensity is the same as the white ones you are using. Guess I'll give them a try. | ||

i threw some similar ones, with 7 LED's in mine. the headlight housing is plenty deep to accomodate the longer bulb |
