There are a few header wrap calculators on the net. For bikes usally you overlap 1/2 the width of the warp you are using. (2" wide wrap=1" overlap.)If I had to guess you prob woull need under 50' but use a calculator to confirm it.

Make sure headers are clean and dry then heavily spray them with a high temp silicone. Once thats done apply the wrap tightening it every 3-4 turns. Its Ok to wrap 2 or more pipes together if they are very close to one another like in that over under section we have.

I would recommend ceramic coating if you are after performance/ heat insulation though. A decent place will charge under $150 for bike headers.

If its just for looks then go to it. Just keep in mind that as stones and such hit the wrap it will fray and look like crap.

Use the newer DEI, Titanium wrap.
Much tuffer, better looking than the white or black.

Mines been on for over 10,000 miles and still looks new...and yea, even in front where rocks will hit.

Crabby -
What's an exhaust head?
You wrap the header to keep the heat "inside" the tube. You don't want it heating the fuel where the header is VERY close to the frame.
Or where the header tube is very close to the waterpump...or the right side radiator...

I got my wrap from the HD dealership, it was black when I installed it. The instructions said to soak the warp in water, having it wet during install. I started to notice the color fade right off the bat, as you can see it has changed, I like the way it looks. Only took about 20-30min to install, used a band clamp on the bottom of the exhaust and the ties that came with the wrap at the top of the pipes.

Yea, some brands have you soak the wrap first. There are a few brands that don't required wetting though.
