Got my GPR today for the CR. Got a good deal, $371 shipped on a group buy.

I have seen pics, but dont remember anyone doing a write up on the install. Not much need for a write up, but thought I would do one anyway.

On the CR, this isa piece of cake. Basically 3 bolts replaced and your done.

Remove the top two bar clamp bolts, and mount the stabilizer plate onto the clamp. GPR supplies new bolts, but I use a Ram ball mount for one, so I just used a longer bolt(which ram supplied) that matched the thread size of the one GPR sent. Hand tighten them. The stabilizer is mounted to the plate with two additional allens which are loose out of the box for mounting.

Mount the bracket to the frame. GPR supplies a small bushing to compensate for the airbox thickness.

Put the arm in the bracket on the frame, tighten the base plate to the handle bar clamp, GPR to base plate, then the frame mounting bolt, and finally the pinch bolt that holds the arm in place. DONE!

i would just advice to start at the lowest setting initially then work up, i have seen too many people dump their bike because they weren't use to the damper at slow speeds, my two cents.

Thanks for the advice, I have heard that as well. I have read others only going to 2 or 3 for street use. I will have to see how it goes. I mainly bought it to control any head shake from the front end lifting in hard acceleration. And I would assume it helps to smooth out cornering as well.
I probably dont need it, but have experienced some wobble. I figure its like gear, no I dont need it, but will be glad when I do!

Looks good.

Once it gets a little warmer I'll be putting mine on. I got so used to my damper on my other bike, I almost dumped it when I took it off. Start low and work your way up.
