Normally, any - and I mean ANY - change, including a change in packaging, came with a letter Rev.
Still unclear just how that reflects in the new Buell numbers or the newer H-D numbers.
In case you don't know, H-D p/n is changing from xxxxx-zz, where zz is the year of introduction, to a xxxxxxxxx format that appears to have some scheme to it's order.

Sorry for the useless number triviata..

Z

Zac, on Buell parts the last letter (except painted/colored stuff) is a revision code. Look at the belts for example, G0500.1AKG is a Uly Belt, with the G being the revision. It starts at nothing for most parts, then they add "A", then the "A" turns to B, then C, and so on. For example, the 09 instrument cluster is Y0500.2AM, then they revised it and it is now Y0500.2AMA. If they revised it again, it will be Y0500.2AMB.

I've spent WAY too much time in front of a parts book and figured it out. : )

I got my CR back after the new Voltage Regulator and new headlights.

wow, when you start it, it is like new. Bank, starts right up. Seems to run much smoother too.

I love the looks of the bike, and how it runs.

I had to go out and look at the CR a couple of times today. I sure love the look of it. The headlights, the shape of the frame, the tank cover, and the pods....Very wide on the front. Very curvy. Looks good.

Rex, again, I've got to ask why you keep spamming a stator topic. None of that stuff has anything to do with the issue being discussed.

cowboytutt,
Have you had your stator changed out with the new and improved unit as provided by HD? And if so how has it been performing. Inquiring minds want to know.

Husker, yes it works fine but its been raining so much I have very few miles on it.

The original 09 stator was on back order so it may be they changed suppliers but therefore did not need to change or modify the part number as the others were all gone.

Hopefully it works out OK. If not, next time I will get it re-wound. -Tutt
