hi chaps - i'am new to this forum so please be kind - I've got a 1125r made 09 - the AVF settings are showing rear 89.5 & front 87.5 is this anything to be worried about ? also getting a low fuel error and side stand switch ? ps - codes are b or 6 1005 and P1501 con sec (Message edited by mcrbuelligan on February 21, 2011) | ||

If it's cold the 1125's tend to give a low fuel light and ECU code until they warm up and then they go back to normal not sure if this helps but it's all I got. | ||

To answer the first question - No it's nothing to worry about. The "lower" AFV values are in order to keep the fuel mixture within EPA regulations. In your case it's adding a bit more fuel. That assumes you have a stock ECM and the 02 sensors are connected. Where (and how) you ride also has an impact on AFV values. I don't think I've seen a P1501 code posted on here before but the most commonly used ODBII code that this relates to is for the VSS "out of range" - most of the Buell codes conform to that std so it's POSSIBLE that this is the same but someone may be able to help more. Is the bike "stock"? As Brumbear mentions, in cold weather the EM light and low fuel warning come on - the only way to resolve that is a new IC (if you can persuade the dealer) as the thermistor used to measure the fuel level goes out of range in really cold weather. | ||

right-o firstly I will check to see if the o2 sensors are still connected and their is no blockages in the airbox etc, Yes the ecm is stock. my riding is various to & from work - scratching though not done for a while. the bike has a k&n and denoid done - and will soon have a ebr ecm and ebr stylee race zorst. the bikes already had a new clutch/fuel pump/strator/dip stick/nearside cover puk replaced twice all done so for by the dealer, so we will see. cheers | ||

the ecm will fix it. The kn maybe making it lean enough to set the fuel learn offset code. | ||

K&N will flow no more air than a clean, stock air filter, the only advantage of the K&N is that its washable |
