I had asked about custom seats in another post and none of the group buys ever happened.
After seeing some of the prices for the select seats and the not so great comments on them I went with Baldwin.
Best thing I have ever done. Loren by far has the best customer relations I have ever had, truly one on one personal. After a couple emails we went with his Vinyl seat with the gel insert.

Pictures say most of it, but the service was by far the best part of the deal.

and for the wife

Some people are trying to get $300 for the select seats, so his prices are pretty good.

Custom Saddle With Vinyl Cover 1125V $194.00
Custom Saddle With Vinyl Cover & Pro Pad Gel Insert 1125VG $268.00
Custom Saddle With Leather Cover. Leather Care 1125L $294.00
Custom Saddle With Leather Cover & Pro Pad Gel Insert. Leather Care 1125LG $368.00

Looks great ... that's the exact seat I keep building on his site! Vinyl black center with carbon sides and the gel insert.

How much improvement does it provide for longer distances so far? And did you get any additional seat height out of it? I need about another inch or so to really get the comfort in tune (33" inseam).

Are you keeping your stocker or did you send it in to get your core charge back? And how much did he charge for the pillion seat?

Sounds like a birthday present to me (March 4th)!!

With the extra padding, how easy is it to get the seat bolts on/off?
And before the flurry starts, yes, I know about Al's pins...

I'm 6-1 and the extra padding hit the spot for me.
I haven't put much time in on the bike after the new seat, but I'm lined up on 200 miles tomorrow,we'll see.

I have three seat pans and sent Loren one to build one. Figure I'd keep one for track days.

The Passenger seat was another $160(I think) with the gel insert. Wish I had taken a picture between the stock one and this one. The wife is all smiles. I'm pretty sure the seat cowl won't fit over the Baldwin seat, but it's really nice for the passenger.

The seat bolts are still easy to get at but I went ahead and ordered the setup from AL. I didn't want to be pulling on it to much.
