I would really like to get a chance to ride with some other 1125's that have different exhausts on them to get a first hand experience of the noise and sound quality. I am leaning toward the Keda RT's based on what I have read in here. The last few days have me smelling the beautiful aroma of riding season! I live in the Akron, OH area. If you are in the vicinity and interested let me know.

The hmf pipe has a nice roar to it at 65mph. I had one on my R for 8000 miles. After awhile the packing blew out and it became really loud. I started taking long trips and found the droning tone obnoxious and sold it. I reverted back to the original can with a ebr calibration. After the stock can was reinstalled I was happy with the performance and the noise levels. Overall the hmf is by far a great pipe for the price but youu may find the noise levels abnoxious after a few thousand miles. I also listened to music and was unable to hear it with the hmf pipe.

I have an FMF full system in my garage that has been waiting for warmer weather to get installed. I am away from home for another week but I hope to do that in the next few weeks. I am in Twinsburg.

I would really like to be able to ride with each of you to hear the different systems first hand. I live in Cuyahoga Falls and often ride to work in Chagrin Falls. From what I have read, seen, and heard on Youtube my first choice is the Keda RT-2. I also like the Dummer Chambered but at $995 its not on the list. After that, I have the Barkers, FMF Apex, and HMF on an even keel. From the American Sport Bike shootout, the Barkers seems to have the best street performance and performs much better than the others with the Stock ECM. If they had run the midpipe closer to the motor, it would be my first choice. Either way it has been fun to contemplate. Please shoot me an email so we can establish contact: chris.klein@stockequipment.com.

P.S.: Thurston I really like what you have done with your bike, looks awesome!

Any of the pipes are way lighter than stock and they all make the bike feel much better, power wise.

Once you realize that it is just a looks / cost decision.

I tried to organize a get together last year with anyone in the N.E.O. area who was interested. We were going to meet at Quaker Steak & Lube Bike Night in the Valley View area. Then I got sent out on business and a nasty storm rolled in just in time to keep everyone else away. I don't plan on putting my bike back to full coverage until April 1st, but will try again then. For those of you running the Barkers, any regrets vs. stock?

It's loud but a quiet core will take care of that.

Yup, I run mine with the "quiet core", that combined with the ebr ECM took the edge off the note.

There are a few NEO groups (not Buell specific) that plan rides to SEO and WV on weekends when the weather cooperates.

you won't see me at bike night : )

I will do a bike night or a weekend ride down to the good roads. I have been planning to head solo to SEO anyway.

My only limitation is my work schedule. I am on the road two weeks at a time and home for two. I travel on Weds, so I only have one Weds off per month.

My bike doesn't go back on full insurance until April. I like the idea of meeting at a coffee shop early AM Saturday and then heading out for a ride after the sun has burned the dew off. It is almost always impossible to organize a date that meets everyone's schedule, so we'll just pick a date that works for most everyone come early April.

The roads are mostly straight and boring until you get south of Canton. There are really good twisty roads in SEO. Plan on a 400+ mile day if you want to get to them from the Cleveland area.

We do 10-12 of these rides each season. It's great fun when you can dedicate a full day to riding.

Well count me in. I like the idea of just picking a day and just heading out to ride. I can do Saturday but Sunday is way more preferable to me. Just keep me posted when it gets closer. I've heard that SE OH is a great place to ride. I have only been mostly in WVA. I would be ok with anyone emailing me or being on an email list. I am not very forum literate but I would think there is a way to directly contact people on here?

FMF Apex here. I love it. Comes with a "quiet core" cone which is tapered and can be installed in either direction depending on your sound preference. I initially installed it without the cone. It definitely barks when I whack the throttle, but I like it overall and have left it out.

That is a beautiful work of art you have. I have always been impressed with the parts and attention to detail that many overseas riders put into their buells. Cool bike!

Yeah the last two days gave me the bug, but I'm not on the road until April 1st when my bike goes back to full coverage. I suggest that we start taking a look at Saturday's weather as of April 2nd and plan accordingly.
