Having digested all the posts on the forum and having had the infamous HD relay mod done to the stator harness I decided to change the voltage regulator/rectifier on my 2009 1125R which I have owned from new, imagine my surprise when I removed the old unit to look at fitting the FH12AA to find that the OEM part was stamped Ducati E, which must stand for Ducati Electronica, the electronics company that Ducati Meccanica sprang from and first made parts for the Italian war effort back in WW2.
I know that the 1125R parts are sourced from all over the world but Italian electric parts? I had issues with my Ducati electrics back in the eighties and swore never to own anything built by them again

Yep, the bike has parts from all over the world, from the companies that you would least expect. The gauge cluster is also Italian too.

Froggy - well that explains why I needed a replacement cluster under warranty then after only 4 months of ownership.
