Popping, snarling, burbling. It's all good. With the race ECM there is a some of that over run noise when cruising on flat at 4-5K RPM. The exhaust note rings true the minute the bike is under load, either on an incline or under acceleration. I especially love the sound it makes in 6th about 85 MPH.

Looks like I will soon have a repacking kit. Give me something to screw with while it's sleeting.

I just ordered the repack kit and a quiet core from Barkers.

Installed the Erik Buell Racing ECM yesterday, no regrets, runs great.

Got the repack kit and center tube on Tuesday and finally had a chance to do the work. It made a huge improvement. Thanks again to Mike @ Barkers.

I didn't put in my quiet core because it saps more power than I wanted to give up...finally a manufacturer that doesn't sugar coat a tough question.

that being said if I ever get stuck riding around town consistent and often (heaven forbid) I would probably put the QC in place.

The 1" quiet core makes the engine a bit less free revving. next size larger maybe.

After the repack I put the largest QC in and I like the sound of it...but it is less quick on the top end. Considering I have reached my limit for tickets that might be a good thing.

Hey thanks for that info. I don't mind a little over run sound from the pipe. But whatever they did works perfectly.
