so i was browsing through the archives and got on safecar.gov after viewing a thread about a recall for the rearcam tensioner causing engine seaze and.... how do i know if my bike for sure needs to be fixed. should i call my dealer tomorrow to see if it is due for any recall fixes.... ? opinions, should i not worry about it? Also i recently purchased (last july)my cr it has 1500 miles on it it was serviced prior to myself purchasing it but due to it sitting over the winter should i get it serviced with new fluids put in? the dealership tells me it does not need to be done again until 5000 miles.. opions?

Or call your dealer with your full VIN, they can tell you if it's due for a recall fix on the cam tensioner or if it's been done.

And...1125 services are at a 6200 mile interval. 5000 *kilometers* for these bikes (foreign motor). You can do 5k services - I will be, just because it's easier to remember and it matches the intervals on my aircooled bikes - but if your dealer can't read a manual...you may want to search a bit and find a better dealer.

Ratbuell,

6200 miles = 10,000km.

Which is it, 5000km (3100 miles), or 6200 miles (10,000 miles)?
