I have a 2008 1125r stock exhaust – original map (she’s a orphan from the salvage yard) history shows no upgrades to the ECM .
Please pick one…
a) upgrade the ECM – 2008 injectors – with latest 2008 map
b) upgrade the ECM- 2009 injectors ( targeted) – with latest 2009 map
c) upgrade to Erik Buell Racing ECM
d) upgrade to 2009 injectors and 2009 Erik Buell Racing ECM
e) Other ( please specify “mix”)
Gotta get the biggest bang for the buck- Thanks for your help/advice

Either C or D, just depends on how much you want to spend. The injectors will add another $125 to the bill.

I have an 08 "R", so maybe I'm biased -
I'd go with (A), then pick a pipe and get an Erik Buell Racing ECM for that pipe and a K&N(C).

My Loretta has 26k miles, about half with a Drummer and K&N and Erik Buell Racing ECM - runs awesome.
Do (A) first tho, the latest flash is pretty good with OEM breathing.

I don't remember specifically, but I recall reading that there is no benefit noticeable to using the '09 injectors. (There was a thread about "should I upgrade to '09 injectors?" a while back and I don't remember anyone saying that it was worthwhile.) The '08 ECM with the most recent flash is a noticeable improvement, but if you get an EB R ECM and plan to run that full time, there's no real reason to flash the stock ECM unless you can find a dealer that will do it at no charge to you.
