The tucked up under the bike routing with cylindrical muffler is my favorite style of exhaust on the 1125. How loud if this slip-on system, and have you done any dyno testing to compare its power output compared to stock? (those are questions pretty much anyone will ask who is shopping for an exhaust).

the muffler is oval, it weighs 8.8lbs,109db@5k, i've only dynoed it so far on a stock map which made 128bhp, pretty much in the ballpark with everyone else, i have a race ecu to fit sometime then get another dyno session, theres also a chambered muffler which is 104db, i don't don't think i'll be getting on the dyno again until the new year now

Be sure to do a baseline run (stock exhaust) too--dyno results are only good for relative comparison.

Looks very similar to the Erik Buell Racing race system...depending on internal construction, I'd expect similar results to theirs.

Nice looking. I also think this style is among the better looking on these bikes.

Anyone have stock dB levels for comparison to the 109/105 measurements?

I like how it tucks up on the engine. Nice looking set up. Congrats on becoming a sponsor. One way to sell these is post up vids of the sound. Seems that how it sounds is pretty important...I know I spent a lot of time listening to vids before I bought my set up.

Jules,
The 85-90dB for an approx OEM set-up - is that at 5K rpm or idle?

Thanks.

Nice Price!!
I must say that pipe is tucked nicely with the addition of the bends being spot on instead of notched and welded like others I've seen. I notice the wider open pipes are or "straight through styles" made the most power. Is this a straight through design?

Is there a possibility of having the can poprivited for servicing instead of fully welded?

so... is the $590 for the slip-on or the full exhaust.... i know what the most likely answer is but prices might be a good thing to include on your website cause you didn't specify in your original post

Nice looking pipe there Al, will you have a "demo" bike available in the summer do you think?

I might be tempted to ride over to Banbury for a look-see (and listen) when the weather turns nicer..

LOL - this is nothing in comparison to what some of the US states get, but it's a slow news month so there's nothing else to report on LOL..

It's quite pretty, but I haven't been out on the bike in a week so i am getting withdrawl symptoms..

Albert - The complete system has a bulge at the collector area and the muffler does not.
What is the reason for that?

I am interested in collector design, could you show additional pictures?

THX

p.s. Albert your web site Banner with red letters is less legible for old eyes.

the bulge was an extra silencer, a very small one but it was hardly worth the bother of making it, so now i don't do it. the collector is formed from sheet stainless, i could make a spliced collector but it would add easily an extra $150 to the price, i can make all these things but it whether people want to pay the extra. one day i'll get the website looking better, exhausts is my thing, not web design
i'll get more pics over the holidays

Does sheet stainless imply an oval shaped collector?
