Whatever happened to this bike? I never understood why they had this bike on the floor when it was never implemented. The fairing was jaw dropping and the chain drive swingarm on a 1125 was a smack in the face. What was this bike intended to be? I'm still curious to why none of this was available. Can someone more knowledgeable about this bike drop in and explain.
I was hoping when uppers were available that the lowers would soon surface. A fiberglass or plastic version would of been the cats meow.Look at the close detail of this bike. I feel I've been robbed.

Though I am no expert, I read HD didn't want a fairing bike and the chain drive probably the same thing since maintaining/ warranty work would be more. So all in all, it was another Erik dream that never fully fruited. Honestly speaking, I'm glad Harley Davidson killed off Buell. I can't wait to see what Erik does this next decade, let alone this next season.

I'd say that was basically a "concept" for the 1125RR that was shown prior to the unveiling of the 1125RR:

Also still hoping for the lowers to be available to 'complete' the bike. I for one- assume- (yea I know) that they will be made available soon. Would pretty much be a 'must have' for those of us running the factory mids. Seems like a win-win for both us and the new EB-R MO CO.....
Anon? Elves?

I saw an 08 1125R for sale at an HD dealership with the full fairing kit. I was hoping it was homemade because it sure looked it. Like an afterthought. The one in the picture doesn't do a thing for me as well, almost like they slapped a square piece of plastic on the side and said, "good enuff".

The bike in the first picture looks like a standard 1125r once it had been equipped with just about every part from the Buell Race catalog.

At one time, you could by full carbon fiber bodywork plus all the kit we know about -- exhaust, chain drive, etc -- though Buell race pars.

The larger photo looks like an 1125RR. That's a PVM rear wheel, btw.

Um...here's the fairing kit right here.

http://www.buell.com/en_us/gear/accessories/produc t.asp?Menu_ID=2&ProductLineID=1&CategoryID=5&Produ ctID=10046

The catalog also had a race bellypan that would work with this fairing, but not with a stock muffler. And the no-headlight front fairing. And the chain conversion.

The display bike that is at the top of the post was a showcase for race parts that were available through the parts/accessories network.

And is now available through Erik Buell Racing.
