When I first start the bike I notice a sort of highpitched resonance that seems to subside as the engine reaches normal operating temps. The bike is a 2008 with less than 600 miles on it. I haven't yet performed its intitial service @ 620 miles. Is this normal? |

Yes, it's normal. some have described this engine as "sounding like a sewing machine". only way to hear it less is louder exhaust. it will get quieter as parts settle in. i run amsoil 20w50 and am very happy with performance of this bike |
