I called a couple of local shops and couldn't get a Corsa 3 rear tire for my CR. They couldn't even order them for some reason.
So I had my usual shop order a Rosso Corsa rear.
Anyone had this combo?
I think they'll be close enough in design to handle decent.
Is the Rossa a stickier tire than the Corsa 3?
Should I also order a new front?
The front is in great shape, only 3800 miles.
The rear is just to the wear bars but I'm about to do a track day so I figured it's best to go ahead and change it out.

The Pirelli line is a bit confusing.

The Diablo Rosso Corsa is the trackday tire intended as the replacement for the Corsa III.

The Diablo Rosso is a road tire.

Man, that's a good price!
But the Rosso Corsa is gonna be $180 mounted and balanced with my local shop.
Probably end up being about the same after shipping and mounting charges.
I love online deals but I do try to support local business.
I'll be sending Erik some money soon for one of his highly praised ECM's.

Sounds like the Rosso Corsa will be a decent match and with maybe a bit more grip.

I've got the Rosso Corsa on the rear, very similar to the Corsa 3. The Rosso Corsa feels like it warms up a little quicker, maybe a little stickier too, but not a big difference.

I've had the Rosso Corsa on the rear and the Corsa III on the front...same situation as you. Didn't have any problems with it and did about two trackdays like that.

You should be fine.

If you have the money to support local businesses then that's awesome...if not, try JakeWilson.

The Rosso Corsa rear is $133.99 shipped with the $20 off coupon. The Front is $113.00 shipped with the $10 off coupon. Shipping is fast too...usually only 3 days for me.

(The Diablo III front from Erik Buell Racing is crazy cheap...even with UPS ground it's only 83 bucks...WTF.)

Thanks for the tip Drawkward.
I didn't check there... of course I was only looking online for Corsa III's not Rosso Corsa's.
That would probably be cheaper over all.

The local shop that I go to has done well by me before. They usually have prices comparable to those online and they include mount and balance if you buy from them. I think they charge $25-30 to mount and balance if you bring the tire.
The local multibrand dealer wanted sticker price ($279) I didn't even ask what they charged for a mount.
I took my S2 to a dealer when I first moved down and they charged me around $500 for conti road attack tires and install labor. They had trouble getting the front tire off and tightened the belt so tight they had compressed the shock.
