I'm likin' the new sub-frame. Any of you think some of the new parts will convert back to the 1125r. I'm hoping it could be modified to fit, also some other upgrades like shocks, forks, and maybe rads or full fairing. Just food for thought...or wishful thinking. | ||

I was at the E.B.R shop in August. 1190 radiators, fairing and brackets are about $16K. When I asked about the subframe for my 1125 road racer I was told it was the same sort of deal, cost too much to make it work. I did get the mag front and rear wheels for about $2100. Also got the forks, brake rotor, shortened subframe, wiring harness, chain drive, race exhaust and case covers. If you do want a fairing like the 1190 call Trev at Flexiglass. Back in August I did talk to him. At the time he said he wants to make a new side panel that looks like the 1190 but uses the stock radiators to keep cost down. He said all he needs is the time and incentive (customer requests). This may be our only option. But then again I think I will end up with the current ram air flexiglass panels. They're only about $1100 and available now. | ||

Dug: Not that I doubt you, but I think that 16k price is complete bullshit. How could some radiators, brackets and fairings cost that much money? That doesn't make any sense whatsoever. You could make your own damn radiators and brackets for probably less than $300 in materials. Ugh. | ||

D, if you were right I would have bought them while I was at the shop. Draw, you need to call Michael Richter at E.B.R and tell him you want a quote. You won't believe it. He had just given someone a quote on the setup, so it was fresh in his head. And, this is why it would be nice if Trev at Flexiglass did come up with a side panel that looked like the 1190 but used the stock radiators. Give him call too. | ||

Dugg, I totally believed that you asked him...I just can't believe that price. I almost suspect that it is over-inflated to keep those parts in house and only for the 1190's. Erik Buell Racing may not want a lot of bikes running around with that setup before they start to make them to sell in the future. That's BS in my opinion, but that's the only reason I can imagine them "costing" so much. It's a freaking radiator for god's sake! | ||

Jim, PM sent. Drawkward, I don't think they are just any radiators. They're probably lighter than air and custom sculpted to be skin tight to the bike. And, don't forget they only made a few. How many 1190's are running around? If you come up with a better solution, please let me be the first to know. | ||

Have you seen the radiators on an 1190? They're all goofy shapes to fit the curve of the bike. I was told the same figure from them, second hand - $15,000. | ||

Front exhaust header is different also, so probably took that into account in that figure. | ||

Personally, I'd like to see someone come up with a work around. But that may be unrealistic because if there was a way to do it at a price for us little guys, Erik Buell Racing would done it. | ||

I was surprised when I heard that Moto GP bikes are close to a million a copy. Really, for two wheels. So it really is no surprise that 1190 parts are that expensive. | ||

I saw the bike at laguna. the employees said they had the kit for the radiators. you are right. the front exhaust comes straight out of the head and straight down, with the radiators on the sides. Looks really good. | ||
